He created "New Labour" which was in fact "Old Tory" dressed up in sheep's clothing.
The rich have gotten far richer, and the poor sent down the tubes.
It is a sad fact that party politics aims its policies toward getting the most votes without addressing the needs of the underprivileged, which is what the old Laboour Party was set up for in the first place.
The United Kingdom under Margret Thatcher, became a stone-hearted, money-grubbing society with almost 5 million unemployed, in her efforts to have an inflation rate of an unattainable zero.
Those fortunate enough not to be throw in the streets - literally - by their indifferent employers found their incomes either frozen or falling, while their bosses were doubling their salaries and perks on a twice-a-year basis.
This was apparently "in line with market forces" to quote the Iron Lady.
When Tony Blair got his foot in Number 10, some social improvements became refreshingly apparent. But this, as it turns out is less than half the story.
The underprivileged and low-paid find themselves screwed at every turn, facing an inpenetrable brick wall and uncaring officialdom whose only concern is with not upsetting the "important".
Blair has a kennel waiting for him at the Chimp's ranch should he be having problems finding a new home.
